SUMMARY:C3 Complex Cardiovascular Catheter Therapeutics
DESCRIPTION:We share our appreciation with the physicians\, healthcare practitioners\, students\, and industry who joined us in June 2016 for the 12th annual Complex Cardiovascular Catheter Therapeutics: Advanced Endovascular and Coronary Intervention Global Summit (C3) at Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando\, Florida. We are excited to continue seeing growth as we reach closer to 1\,200 attendees. We are grateful to our 400 global faculty who work to create amazing content and learning opportunities for our attendees.\n\nAs we move towards 2017\, we continue on the path of building a strong program that will interest both returning and new attendees\, at any stage in their career. C3 has been designed for physicians who specialize in interventional cardiology\, vascular surgery\, and interventional radiology\, as well as fellows\, residents\, and other healthcare professionals interested in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. C3 offers presentations and debates with expert global faculty\, live and pre-recorded cases\, industry-sponsored and supported symposia\, exhibit booths and simulators\, poster sessions\, case presentations and hands-on workshops.

SUMMARY:CARS 2017 – Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to CARS 2017\nThe CARS congress is the annual event for a distinguished international community of scientists\, engineers and physicians to present and discuss the key innovations that shape modern medicine on a worldwide basis. \nFounded in 1985\, CARS has played a leading role in medical and imaging informatics for more than 30 years by focusing on research and development on novel algorithms and systems and their applications in radiology and surgery. Its growth and impact is due to CARS’s close collaboration with the IFCARS\, ISCAS\, CAR\, CAD\, CMI and IPCAI organizations. \n\nFollowing the long term successful cooperation\, in many parts of the world\, in 2017 these prestigious scientific communities will jointly hold their annual meetings as part of the 31st CARS Congress in Barcelona\, Spain. \nThe CARS Congress Organizing Committee invites you to come to Barcelona in June 2017\, for an extraordinary event in which scientific/medical presentations as well as stimulating discussions will foster new visions on the future of medicine. \nAt the CARS congress you will have the opportunity to meet scholars and practising experts in the fields of radiology\, surgery\, clinical medicine\, engineering\, informatics and healthcare management who have an interest in topics\, such as \n\nadvanced medical imaging\nimage- and model-guided interventions\nimage processing and visualization\nintelligent operating room of the future\ndecision and action support in surgical management\ncomputer aided diagnosis\nmedical simulation and evaluation\, and e-Learning\nsurgical navigation and robotics\nmodel-guided and personalised medicine\nintegrated patient care\n\nNew PACS applications\, including IT-infrastructures adapted for the operating room\, related results from the DICOM and IHE working groups\, but in particular\, new methods and IT-tools for modelling the patient and medical processes are increasingly shaping the scope of CARS. Clinical specialties represented at CARS include: \n\nComputer aided neuro-\, ENT-\, orthopaedic and spinal surgery\,cardiovascular- and thoracic surgery\, gastroenterological-\, gynaecological- and urological surgery\nImaging and interventional radiology\nComputed maxillofacial imaging\nComputer assisted radiation therapy\nImage guided navigation surgery\nMinimally invasive and robotic surgery\nPathology informatics\n\nPlease note that the deadline for paper and abstract submissions for CARS 2017 in Barcelona is January 10\, 2017. Recent successful CARS congresses have taken place in Berlin\, Paris\, Tokyo\, San Francisco\, London\, Chicago\, Osaka\, Geneva\, Pisa\, Fukuoka\, and Heidelberg. We would be delighted to welcome you at CARS 2017\, which will take place in Barcelona\, as one of the leading cities for medical conferences and a Mediterranean city with a very special flair. \nHeinz U. Lemke\, PhD\nCARS Organizer

SUMMARY:2nd Edition ML CTO 2017
DESCRIPTION:Dear friends\, \nThe recanalization of coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO) has become an important procedure to treat symptomatic patients with ischemia or heart failure.. It is a growing and constantly evolving discipline\, allowing us to improve our daily practice in percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). \nLearning or reviewing the basics\, tips & tricks\, and mastering CTO techniques is essential to manage complex coronary patients. More and more interventional cardiologists are eager to learn and develop CTO PCI programs in their CathLabs. We conceived this event to support their initiatives\, and following the successs our 2016 first Edition\, we are glad to invite you to the ML CTO 2017. \nThe main goal of this event is to bring together all passionate operators in one place\, from beginners to experts in a climate of openness and congeniality. Occasional and regular operators will find this conference to be an opportunity to strengthen their skills and continue their progress in learning new strategies tailored to their level. \nThe Multi-Level CTO Course will include didactic and practical lectures with simultaneous live cases\, related to the topics covered during each session.\nThe first day will be dedicated to CTO PCI basics in antegrade and retrograde approaches\, and live cases of more simple CTOs will be broadcasted. In parallel\, a special paramedics session will be held. \nThe second day will focus on advanced antegrade techniques and basics in antegrade dissection re-entry.\nFinally\, the third day the most challenging cases of the course will be performed. We will also address retrograde and antegrade dissection re-entry advanced strategies\, discussing about the management of complications and sharing tips & tricks. \nA special fellow session has been created to allow young operators to present clinical cases. A dedicated session for Paramedics will also be offered this year.\nIn order to allow as many operators as possible to attend this event\, the full conference will be streamed live on www.incathlab.com. \nWe truly hope this ML CTO Edition will meet all of your expectations. The goal of this Multi-Level CTO course is to provide a complete curriculum adapted to the expertise of a cardiology audience. \n  \nAlexandre Avran\, MD & Stéphane Rinfret\, MD
